The BD Biosciences Webinar Series is an ongoing, informative program in which senior scientists, professionals in the community, and clinicians present online seminars covering a broad range of topics.
Date:Wednesday, May 16, 2018
Time: 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 PM EST / 5:00 PM CET
Flow Cytometry has been an important tool in the clinical laboratory for over 30 years. Historically, laboratories determine instrument-specific settings and devise protocols to replicate the same output on other instruments in the laboratory. Those settings must be maintained day to day and over time to achieve high quality, reproducible results. These protocols are complex and the settings can be time-consuming to maintain. In this webinar, you will learn how new technology allows you to easily generate reproducible results day to day and across different instruments, enabling standardization within your laboratory.
Abigail Kelliher is the Clinical Solutions Scientific Liaison at BD Biosciences. She has over 25 years of flow cytometry experience particularly in clinical Leukemia/Lymphoma diagnostics utilizing multi-parameter immunophenotyping. Abigail began her career in immunology research at the Center for Blood Research followed by a long tenure in the clinical diagnostics laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is an instructor in multicolor immunophenotyping for the Annual Flow Cytometry Course held at Bowdoin College and the University of New Mexico.
